TRAINING FOR ORGANIZATIONS

RTI works directly with organizations to deliver private Recovery-Informed Training.

Training can begin with an existing RTI course or be developed around the needs of a particular organization, workforce, setting, or group. Existing courses can be delivered privately and adapted to the setting in which they will be used, while custom training can be developed when the subject requires a more specific approach, audience, or application.

Not every organization needs the same training.

What is delivered is shaped by the setting, the audience, and what the training needs to accomplish.

Recovery-Informed Training Across Different Settings

The following are a few examples of private Recovery-Informed Training being delivered on site, within the organizations, communities, services, and facilities where it will actually be used.

Recovery-Informed Transitional Care

With Multicultural Health Brokers Cooperative (MCHB), Recovery-Informed Transitional Care has focused on how migration, immigration, language barriers, and complex systems of transition can affect people’s well-being, and how support can respond to those realities.

Recovery-Informed Workplace

With SaskPower, Recovery-Informed Workplace training has focused on how culture, communication, leadership, and power influence early disclosure and safety in a safety-sensitive organization, including what happens before a concern becomes a reported incident.

Recovery-Informed Community Care

With organizations like Trellis Society for Community Impact and Alcove Addiction Recovery for Women Society, Recovery-Informed Community Care has explored the role of community, belonging, family and natural supports, connection, and how people navigate systems of care within the community.

Recovery-Informed Programming

Within treatment environments, including Calgary Dream Centre, Fresh Start Recovery Centre, Lakeview Recovery Community, and others, the focus has included Recovery-Informed Programming and the everyday conditions that shape how people experience care.

Recovery-Informed Training

Recovery-Informed Training has also been developed for culturally specific settings with Siksika Nation, Blood Tribe/Kainai, Tsuut’ina Nation, and NiGiNan Housing Ventures, with the training shaped to reflect the context, community, and purpose of each organization.

This is not training that ends when the session does.

It follows you into what happens next.

That is how recovery-informed thinking becomes a different way of working.

START WITH WHAT YOU NEED

If you are looking for private training for a team, organization, workforce, or group, tell us what you are trying to address and who the training is for.

From there, we can determine whether an existing RTI course fits or whether something more specific needs to be developed.
