The Recovery Training Institute of Alberta (RTIA) hosted a 1-hour session exploring how recovery communities and addiction treatment environments can prepare for, respond to, and manage real-world emergencies. This webinar walked through practical response protocols, communication strategies, risk-mitigation approaches, and on-the-ground considerations for teams handling medical incidents, behavioural escalations, and operational emergencies.
The session was led by Bill Caldwell, Senior Director of Programs at RSG, and Tristan Mackenzie, Manager of Operations at Lakeview Recovery Community.
